Cornerstone Supply eBay Store Powered by Frooition:

Cornerstone Carpet Cleaning Supply eBay Store Powered by: Frooition
Some months back we published the article below in the Trading Assistant Journal . It details the transition from a brick and mortar retail and wholesale business model to Internet Marketing. The first step was eBay with a custom designed eBay Store by iBusinessLogic.com and powered with Frooition technology.Â
As many small business people know, finding the time to devote to new projects, no matter how exciting, can be a challenge in a small business environment. Cornerstone is no different and even though the eBay environment over the last year has been somewhat fluid, Richard Carpenter and his daughter Connie have stuck with the project adding products to the store inventory in Auction-Logic.com software on a regular basis.Â
The dedication has paid off!
Richard advised us last week that the eBay Store has been his best marketing decision in years. He is getting calls and inquiry’s about his Truck Mount Carpet Cleaning Machines, not just from around the State of Florida or even the United States, but from around the World!Â
Richard thinks his return on investment (ROI) has been very positive even when figuring in a few glitches attributed to eBay itself. His concern has never been with accumulating feedback or obsessing about DSR’s, Richard just wants his products out there in front of as many eyes as possible. The eBay Store we developed for him with Frooition has cost less than a weekly ad in our local newspaper and has returned 10 times the amount of leads.Â
Richard has now asked us to develop a new website for his company and we will be happy to oblige… More about that project in the coming months.
From the Trading Assistant Journal…

Cornerstone Commercial Supply is pleased to announce that after years of brick and mortar retail and wholesale sales of commercial carpet cleaning, janitorial and floor care supplies and equipment, that they are entering the exciting world of e-commerce as an Internet and eBay seller!
The professionals at iBusinessLogic are bringing the world of Internet marketing to an established Brick and Mortar distributor of Carpet Cleaning supplies and equipment in the Tampa Bay area.
iBusinessLogic ’s first task has been to set up the inventory of this commercial carpet cleaning distributor in electronic format and to enter it into the AuctionLogic business class eBay management software suite. We are proceeding with this project while we complete the design of the eBay stores templates with our DesignLogic and Frooition graphics and eBay stores certified designer teams. The eBay stores design and listing template is nearly complete but since we have all of this great product to promote, there is no reason to wait. We at All Business Auctions have begun the soft launch of this client onto eBay with a basic eBay stores design provided by eBay.

Once DesignLogic & Frooition has Cornerstone’s new eBay store design completed they can simply do a quick install of the eBay store design without changing any of the items already running on eBay. One of the great features of our AuctionLogic software suite is that once the Cornerstone branded and customized eBay listing template is ready for use, we can simply choose to change the template of any store item from within our software without ever having to re-enter item description information or details. Once the Designlogic / Frooition template is installed our client will have the ultimate flexibility available for changing and editing both live eBay listings and their own promotions within the eBay store. Featured items will be promoted / cross marketed on each and every listing with this eBay stores design and software solution.
Next on the agenda, after the eBay store is up and running and generating revenue, DesignLogic will formulate , design and implement a complete a full eCommerce website for this client. This will allow the client to direct traffic from eBay to the eCommerce website and sell his primary product which is Truck Mount Carpet Cleaning Machines.
In addition we plan on developing informational products for this client. Digitally delivered info products are a great way to get a company brand and company links into the hands of a focused and targeted audience. The informational products ideas we have for this client are extensive and we fully intend on helping Cornerstone Commercial Supply inform and educate its customer base with Commercial carpet & floor care e-books, e-reports, e-reviews on equipment and other video and audio based informational products.
We have been working for years to reach a level which would allow All Business Auctions / iBusinessLogic to create comprehensive and effective Internet marketing plans which start with the awesome power of eBay traffic generation. We believe we have found the right combination of tools, services and mentoring programs which will allow any brick and mortar business like Cornerstone to survive and thrive in the new world of Internet based marketing.

Tim is passionate about conservative politics and at the same time exuberant as he can be about the artistic and creative land of Disney. Tim has found the best of both worlds merging them into a lifestyle and career.
Many of my regular readers may remember an article I wrote about Tim’s eBay business and how it was effected by the digital download reversal at eBay in the Trading Assistant Journal. Digital Delivery on eBay - A Crime or Just Bad Wording?
Tim has moved onward and upward with his business since eBay put a very major kink is his previous digital delivery information marketing business plan. We chat almost daily on Twitter and since Tim was able to attend Affiliate Summit 2008 in Boston I put aside my obvious jealousy and asked him if he wouldn’t mind bringing back a report for our readers about the event? Of course Tim jumped at the chance to bring our readers news from his travels, as he is a travel based writer of some renown…
Without further adieu, here is Timothy Jones Guest Blog report on Affiliate Summit 2008 - Boston
Affiliate Summit Recap
My first Affiliate Summit started as a long, full-day sprint. Things definitely slowed down after the first day, but this conference requires an amazing amount of energy and stamina. During the day, you have two or three sessions going on at any one time. Choosing the appropriate session sometimes created a dilemma for me, however, knowing that videos of all the presentations would be on the Affiliate Summit site gave me comfort. At night, there are dinners, parties, and social events that go on into the hours of the next morning. Then, you get up early to start the process over, again. This goes on for at least three days, after which you need three more to recover and process everything you encountered on the previous three.
The sessions covered all aspects of the affiliate marketing business to appeal to all members of this wide and varied industry, including publishers, advertisers, and networks. Additionally, the Meet Market and Exhibit Hall provided voluminous possibilities for networking.
My goal for the conference was to learn as much as possible, so networking was not one of my focuses, however I did get to meet an amazing number of people that I’d only spoken to online, prior to this event. It’s always interesting to meet people face-to-face that you’ve only “seen” online, before. For those attending the conference in the future, I feel this may have been one of the mistakes or “lessons learned” from this conference; take advantage of every opportunity to meet and network with everyone. Nothing will jump-start or expand your business like knowing the right people to help you along or make that introduction to the right person for your business.
A couple of the more interesting sessions were the Performance Marketing Alliance session and the Ethics in Affiliate Marketing session. Both of these sessions sparked significant emotions and vehement opinions from both the panels and the audience. As the affiliate industry grows, both the need for an association and adherence to ethical standards will become more apparent and necessary.
One of the issues that concerned me going into the conference was the number of merchants, vendors, and businesses presenting information at the Summit. Oftentimes, when businesses present at conferences (especially a conference for marketers), you tend to hear sales pitch after sales pitch. This was definitely not the case for Affiliate Summit. While there were a couple of exceptions, I was impressed with the quality of the information presented, without a hint of a sales pitch. Some presenters even went so far as to ask for discussions about their own business to take place outside the session, to avoid any impropriety. One of the founders of the conference, Shawn Collins, told me they do not tolerate presentations that are nothing more than sales pitches. I think this policy is invaluable and separates Affiliate Summit from the crowd.
Overall, the conference was very laid-back and enjoyable, but also very informative. I am still processing through the lessons learned and action items from the conference, even weeks later. A couple tips for future attendees that I took away from my experiences:
- Arrive the day before the conference. I tried to come in the first day of the conference and while I did not miss anything, it just caused too much stress and worry to make it worthwhile.
- Go with goals in mind. As I noted, I wanted to soak up as much information as possible. You may have an idea to pitch, certain people you want to meet, an idea you want to develop. Don’t just float aimlessly down the river - paddle and make a difference.
- Give and take business cards, but most importantly, follow-up with those people when you get home. Most people never follow-up with the people they meet at a conference and the connection is lost. I am looking forward to Affiliate Summit West 2009 in Las Vegas to build on these lessons and the friendships I made at Affiliate Summit East 2008.
